This bike and boat tour along the Danube River has proven year after year to be one of our most popular tours. The Austrian and Hungarian alluvial landscape and the Danube River Bend is a region of varied natural beauty and is chock full of art, culture, and history.
Offered on different vessels, each with its own unique itinerary, there is something for everyone.
As you cycle the famous Danube Cycle Path from Passau, you pass through four countries and visit enchanting European capitals and villages featuring Vienna, city of music; Budapest, the Hungarian "Danube Queen"; and Bratislava, the "beauty" on the Danube.

Itinerary
Important Information:
In case of flood or low tide, the operators reserve the right to modify the itinerary and bridge parts of the passages with busses if necessary or to cancel the journey on short notice as the safety of the passengers and crew is paramount.
No legal right shall be constituted in these situations. (Water level is force majeure). The same applies for locally mandated (but not previously announced) repair work on locks or bridges as well as unexpected and unfortunate mechanical issues of the ships' engines or power unit.
Please be aware that these ships, like all ships, are not just floating hotels, but machines, with perceptible engine noises. The ships along the Danube do navigate at night to traverse the distances necessary. If you are sensitive to noise, please bring your earplugs.
Each boat has a different itinerary, so look at the details below. All distances are approximate.
Primadonna
Day 1: Arrival in Passau at 4 pm
Day 2: Schlögen - Linz, 34 mi. (55 km)
Day 3: Tulln - Vienna, 19 or 32 mi. (31 or 52 km)
Day 4: Estergom - Szentendre, 37 mi. (59 km) + Budapest, 14 mi. (22 km) (or 40 min. by train)
Day 5: Sightseeing in Budapest and cycling tour to Margareteninsel, 14 or 34 mi. (22 or 55 km)
Day 6: Sightseeing in Bratislava and cycling Bratislava - Devin - Bratislava, 21 or 30 mi. (33 or 48 km)
Day 7: Cycling tour Krems to Pöchlarn, 40 mi. (48 km)
Day 8: Departure from Passau at 9 am
Day 1: Arrival in Passau
Boarding begins at 4 PM! A welcome snack is offered as you arrive. At approximately 6:30 pm, the boat will depart Passau and navigate to Schlogen.
Day 2: Schlogen - Linz, 34 mi. (55 km)
The distribution of rental bicycles will occur in the morning. Your cycling will begin from the UNESCO heritage site, ‘Schlogener Schlinge’, through the uninhabited Kaiserau valley, to the Aschach baroque market, and to Linz via Ottensheim.
Day 3: Tulln - Vienna, 19 or 31 mi. (31 or 49 km)
A visit to the Museum of Egon Schiele and garden exhibition (with 65 gardens) in Tulln is on the agenda, followed by a cycle tour from Tulln with a beautiful view of the foothills of the Viennese Wood (Wiener Wald), past Klosterneuburg (monastery – Austrian Escorial) to Vienna. Individual sightseeing in Vienna or if you prefer, a city tour by bike, 95 % of which will take place on a dedicated bike path! More information will be provided onboard. After dinner, at 8:30, a guided bus tour “Vienna by night” is optional.
Day 4: Estergom - Szentendre, 37 mi. (59 km) + Budapest, 14 mi. (22 km) (or 40 min. by train)
You cycle on the Eurovelo 6 through the Danube Bend on car-free cycle paths past Visegrád to Vác and then by ferry to the Szentendre island.
You can go by train (approx. every hour) to Budapest or continue by bike for another 22 km.
Day 5: Sightseeing in Budapest/biking to Margarete’s island 14 mi. (22 km)
You may enjoy a city tour by bus in the morning, leaving directly from the boat landing station. The tour will take about 3 hours. From here, you will be transferred back to the ship. In the afternoon, there is a possibility for a round-trip tour by bike on the, car-free Margareten Island in Budapest.
Day 6: Sightseeing in Bratislava and cycling Bratislava - Devin - Bratislava, 21 or 30 mi. (33 or 48 km)
You will enjoy a guided city tour through the historical center of Bratislava. Afterward, on the Danube cycling route, you via pedal via Wolfsthal to Hainburg and to the Schloss Eckartsau (castle). Back on the same way or to Schloss (castle) Hof and Devín (approx. 6 km busy secondary road). Devin is Slovakia's national memorial with beautiful views.
Day 7: Cycling tour Krems to Pöchlarn, 40 mi. (48 km)
Leaving the UNESCO World Heritage City Krems, you will soon arrive in one of the most famous places in the Wachau: Dürnstein. Continue cycling to Weißenkirchen and Spitz. From afar, you will see the impressive monastery Melk. Continue to Pöchlarn where the MS Primadonna is already waiting for you.
Day 8: Departure from Passau at 9 am
You will arrive in Passau at approximately 9 am and depart after breakfast. At 10 am, a bus transfer to public parking or the central train station is available.

Day 1: Passau
Boarding time at 4:00 p.m. Located at the meeting point of the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers, Passau has numerous of interesting sites to visit. Use your free time and stroll through the cobblestoned old town centre, listen to the bells of Passau’s Gothic Town Hall or have a look at the world’s largest Catholic Church organ in the Passau Cathedral. At 6.00 p.m. we cast off!
Day 2: Great Loop/Engelhartszell-Aschach | 26 miles (42 km)
Your first day’s cycling begins with a ride through the classic scenery of the ‘Great Loop’ Donauschlinge - one of the most beautiful sections of the Danube. Along the way you will encounter tiny villages and cozy cider taverns. In Austria’s only Trappist monastery at Engelhartszell you can taste their delicious liquors and cheese. The famous ‘Schlogener View’ provides a wonderful panorama of the surrounding Austrian countryside. The boat welcomes all cyclists back on board in the charming market town of Aschach.
Day 3: Devin - Bratislava | 27 miles (43 km)
You pedal along the former ‘Iron Curtain’, cross the green line and reach the imposing Imperial Palace of Hof with its beautifully terraced gardens. Follow the bike path through Austria’s ‘vegetable garden’ to the coronation city of Bratislava and the slopes of the little Carpathians and discover the hidden alleyways and sights of Bratislava on an optional city tour.
Day 4: Budapest (day of rest) I Szentendre | 34 miles (54 km)
The entrance to Budapest, Hungary’s capital is stunning. Savour the beauty of Budapest during a coach tour or a guided bike tour (optional) to discover many of the highlights of this handsome city. You can also choose to cycle to the charming town of Szentendre with its Mediterranean atmosphere and lively art scene. You will get a very close experience of Hungarian culture at an evening show with traditional music and dance (optional).
Day 5: Danube bend - Esztergom | 27 miles (43 km)
The wooded hills of Pilis, Visegrád and Börzsöny together with the meandering Danube create a wonderful landscape that has become a nature lover’s paradise. Situated in the middle of the Danube River the idyllic isle of Szentendre exudes silent Puszta romance. You cycle via the baroque village of Vác (influenced by the architects of Austria’s empress Maria Theresia) to the bishop town of Esztergom with its gorgeous basilica – Hungary’s largest Catholic Church.
Day 6: Vienna (day of rest)
Discover Vienna’s most beautiful attractions. During a city tour by bike or bus (optional) you will experience Vienna’s most famous examples of architecture: the imperial Hofburg, St. Stephens Cathedral, the gorgeous ‘Ring’-boulevard and the State Opera House, the Burgtheater and town hall and, of course, the colorful "Hundertwasserhaus". Take time to relax in one or more of Vienna’s famous cafés, while the evening ends impressively at a classical concert (optional) in one of Vienna‘s most famous palaces.
Day 7: Wachau / Krems - Melk | 24 miles (39 km)
Your last biking day is a special highlight! A powerful ruin looms above the small Baroque town of Durnstein, while the blue spire of the monastery church is a landmark of the renowned Wachau. Amidst dreamy towns, apricot trees, vineyards and castles, this hilly landscape enchants everybody who visits ... you will be biking on cloud nine! In Spitz (possibility to do a wine-tasting – optional) you will find comfortable wine taverns along the bike path. After the Captain’s farewell dinner, lots of fun and entertainment can be experienced during the popular crew show.
Day 8: Passau
As you cruise back up the Danube, enjoy the early morning sunshine as you wind your way to Passau, where you will disembark at about 11:00 am. Connecting travel should not be booked earlier than 12.00 noon.

Day 1: Passau – Engelhartszell
Individual arrival in the "Three River City". Passau attracts many with the world's greatest church organ at the Stephansdom and it’s charming Old Town. Embarkation will be at 4:00 pm and departure around 7 pm.
Day 2: Engelhartszell - Great Loop - Untermühl, 22 mi. (35 km)
The day starts in Engelhartszell with the only Trappist monastery in Austria, towards the "Great Loop" - one of the most beautiful regions of the Danube. The route leads through small villages with typical taverns. and you board again in Untermühl. This ship will navigate during the night to Bratislava.
Day 3: Bratislava, 34 mi. (54 km)
Arrival in Bratislava at approximately 9 am.  You start cycling from here via Hainburg to the imposing Imperial Palace of Hof beautifully terraced gardens and idyllic manor farm further on to Devin and then back to Bratislava.

Day 4: Budapest - Szentendre - Budapest, 30 mi. (48 km) or Day of rest
In the early morning, you enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube's gorgeous landscape on the Sundeck. The gateway to Budapest is overwhelming, as many of the famous tourist features are situated directly next to the river bank. In the afternoon you can explore the numerous attractions of the city. Nearby, you find the Margaretheninsel which is outstandingly qualified for a small bike tour or the charming town of Szentendre with a Mediterranean atmosphere and lively art life. In the night shipping to Visegrad.
Day 5: Danube Bend | Visegrad - Esztergom, 16 - 37 mi. (25 - 60 km)
The Danube bend is definitely one of the most delightful and attractive parts and is called the Hungarian Wachau. Today's bike leg starts at Visegrad with its famous fortress and the ruins of the former palace. You can choose from 2 different routes: the longer one includes a side trip to the island of Szentendre and the baroque village of Vác, which has been influenced by the architects of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresia. The other route leads you directly to the bishop-town of Esztergom, with its gorgeous basilica, Hungary's largest Catholic Church, overlooking the village. In the night shipping to Vienna. (*60 km-tour is designed for strong cyclists only).
Day 6: Vienna - Nussdorf (Korneuburg may also be possible) - Day of rest
You should be sure to see the most famous places of interest like the St. Stephens Cathedral (Stephansdom), the Hofburg, the gorgeous boulevard with the Burgtheater, the State Opera House or the town hall that takes you
back to the past. In the night shipping to Rossatz or Dürnstein (Wachau).
Day 7: Wachau - Melk - Pöchlarn, 25 - 31 mi. (40 - 49 km)
Your last biking day is a special highlight! Amidst small dreamy villages, apricot trees, vineyards, castles, monasteries, and ruins, this gentle hilly landscape enchants everybody. A powerful ruin looms above the small Baroque town of Dürnstein, while the blue tower of the monastery church is a landmark of Wachau. In Weißenkirchen, you will find comfy wine taverns right along the bike path. You owe it to yourself to take a break! You’ll board again in the small village of Pöchlarn. After the farewell gala dinner, you start “sailing” back to Passau
Day 8: Passau
Every journey draws to an end. Once again you enjoy on deck the first sunbeams and the peaceful silence of the Danube Valley. Take the last sight at the Schlögener Schlinge ("Great Loop") before you arrive relaxed at Passau. Arrival is at approximately 10 AM, disembarkation is at 10:30 AM. Due to possible unforeseen mooring delays, it is recommended that you do not make travel arrangements until after 12 PM.

Day 4: Budapest (day of rest) or roundtrip to Szentendre, 30 mi. (48 km)

A mighty ruin looms above the small Baroque town of Dürnstein, while the blue tower of the monastery church is a landmark of Wachau. You will board again in the small village of Pöchlarn, located close to Melk. After the farewell gala dinner, you start “sailing” back to Passau.

Day 8: Departure from Passau
Every journey draws to an end. Once again, you enjoy on deck the first sunbeams and the peaceful silence of the Danube Valley. Take a last sight at the Schlögener Schlinge ("Great Loop") before you arrive relaxed at Passau. Arrival: approx at 11:00 a.m., disembarkation half an hour later. Please make a note of these times when arranging onward travel.

Skill Level — Easy
This is a relatively easy tour following the flow of the Danube River. The route is mostly flat with some rolling hills, especially coming out of the Danube valley. It takes place on good, asphalt bike paths and is a tour that is very suitable for beginners and children. As in all of our bike tours, a good command of the bicycle is required, including good balance, ability to stop and start quickly, and comfort in riding in a group.

We recommend that you fly into Munich Airport (MUC).
Local Travel
Munich Airport (MUC) is well connected to the city center and beyond by public transportation, taxis, and transfer services.
Public transportation:
To access a train to Passau, your point of embarkation, you first take a bus to Freising train station (approximately €3). It’s also possible to take a taxi from the airport to Freising Station (approximately €27). From Freising, continue by train to Passau. The train ride is approx. 2–2½ hr. (depending on connections) and costs €30 to €45 depending on type of train.
If you are arriving by car, just ask! We can provide parking details. If your travel plans include spending some time in Munich before your bike and boat tour, you can access a train to Munich city center directly at the airport at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Climate
The region has a moderate maritime climate, generally experiencing pleasantly mild winters and relatively cool summers. Please check local conditions prior to your departure and remember that your tour will cover a significant distance and will stretch along the Danube from Passau to Budapest and back.

Any day can be designated a day of rest by remaining on board and enjoying the amazing Danube scenery!

The ships used on this tour have an on-board tour director that does not cycle with the group. The tours are generally designed for self-guided cycling. The multi-lingual director on board is available in case of a breakdown or emergency. I don’t have one thing that stands out above the rest. Everything from beginning to end was marvellous . As our tour was 130 ish people it was hard to meet people as we were a group of 6. Just a thought to move dinner seating around a bit?? Not everyone may like this though.

Our second bike/ barge trip booked through tripsite did not disappoint! The ship was perfect, clean and clearly updated.The crew was hospitable and helpful.Our language ( english) was not a barrier on the trip, everyone was very accommodating! The food was excellent and choices were good.Leslie the tour director was superb.
The bike route was well mapped and we downloaded the app which worked well.Sites were amazing, weather which you can’t control good most days.Loved the small ferry rides, Austrian hills, the well appointed stops along the route.E bikes were a good choice for us and easy to manage

Every day held something new along our way. Landscapes changed, cities and towns were vastly different, crops varied, castles and palaces were different. Enjoy it all.
At the time we were on the trip the boat assigned a dining table and you had to sit with the same people every meal every day. We were a single couple and were put at a table with one other couple who were thankfully a lovely couple. It would have been nice however to be able to sit with others at least for breakfast and lunch.

We enjoyed the bike and barge. This was our first time. Staff on board were magnificent. Very well run. Ship was older and showing its age. Could use some refurbishment. Biking was good for easy riders. Bikes were excellent although shock absorbers would have been a bonus. All in all a great time.

We had a wonderful adventure on this trip and got to see some stunning cities along the way. Cycling was wonderful the bikes and e-bikes were in excellent condition. Internet sucks. Needs to be available throughout the ship, not just in the bar. Also we were not told how to use our electric bikes. And some parts of the bike route were hazardous, e.g., loose gravel, fast auro traffic. 3 of 4 of our group wiped out at least once.

Good trip. I knew of 2 people who complained of having a "cold" toward the end of the tour. 3 days after returning home I tested positive for covid having minor symptoms. Not the fault of Tripsite but I think you should be aware.

Fabulous bike trip! Everyday we received a very thorough briefing including a map for our daily ride. Leslie took great care of us along with the rest of the crew! Bring a Tupperware dish to make a salad in for the lunch that you can make to take on your ride. The lunch bag will come with the bike.

The best parts were the scenic rides on the first and last day. The ride through wine country was particularly beautiful . I also loved the day in Budapest.
People definitely need to train for the biking part. Although not difficult , time on the seat is important. I would highly recommend bringing a gel seat cover.

The stars at night from the boat sun deck were spectacular. The bike path along the river had beautiful views and occasionally wonder into small towns. Docked in Budapest across from Parliament which was a special sight at night. Reccommend bike tours of Vienna and Budapest and also eat at lovely restaurants

The Danube Bike and Barge cruise was an enjoyable experience. The crew on the ship could not have been more attentive to our needs. How those folks got 129 bikes on and off so efficiently and with smiles was something to behold. The country side views and the little botagas along the way were a pleasant spot to stop and take it all in. The app made the route effortless to follow. The guided city tours were informative and exciting. An exceptional way to visit a city at a very reasonable cost. The paved paths with no vehicle traffic took any thoughts of danger off the table. It was pedal away and relax especially with the electric bikes that were top notch and very easy to maneuver. The food was presented and tasted like a Michelin star restaurant and a varied menu made choosing dishes difficult at times but our waiter obliged and we just had both. Now the most difficult part lies ahead deciding which bike and barge cruise we are signing up for next year.

We had a fabulous trip! We especially enjoyed Budapest, and having a full day there. I was unable to bike due to a recent injury, so did miss out on some things based on the times in the various ports and needing to get back on the ship. Also would have loved more time in Vienna (only half day).

The whole trip was fantastic despite two rainy, cold bike days which we survived wearing ponchos and smiles. The boat was extremely comfortable and well-appointed. We had the cabin with proper twin beds and big sliding door windows - very nice.
The e-bikes were excellent and although not super high-powered they were perfect for the terrain we were riding. They were very comfortable to ride. Any issue with the bikes was quickly dealt with.
Meals were superb, 5-star dining every day with a good choice. The cruise director was terrific, highly organized, and very helpful and his briefings were detailed and accurate. On 2 of the days, he rode with the 133 bikers because of high river levels to make sure we were all safe.
All city visits had options of bike tour, bus tour or do your own thing. Again the information about the cities at the briefings was detailed. The cruise director really knew the area.

Aside from the beauty, we sell along bike rides, I was totally impressed with how organized the stuff was on the boat. This was his regards to the trip trip information, and the bike set up. The food was phenomenal, the cabin was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond providing outstanding service. The atmosphere was very friendly and jovial. I honestly do not have any tips for others. Already a few of my friends are going to book this trip in the spring and summer next year based on my recommendations.

Day 2 was a good ride but not much to see much other than the farms….it was also a very hot day and no reprieve from the sun

Every single part of it was wonderful! Very comfortable accommodations and great nights of sleep! Absolutely delightful bike rides! Great support for bike rides with maps, GPS download, salad and sandwich bar so we could make our own picnic lunches, delicious breakfast and dinners loved getting to see parts of four different countries And really enjoyed the tour options we were given in the different cities. I Cannot recommend it highly enough!

The bike tour in Vienna was very good. Management did a poor job in communication. We were told conflicting information. We were surprised that the boat did not meet us in Passau and had to take an hour long buss ride. Food was from the region and Germans Austria are not as good as the Italian' s and French. Liver is not popular with us. We are spoiled with the other culture food.

The Primadonna was comfortable, well-organized, had good food and created a good tour of beautiful parts of Europe. The bikes were easy to ride and very high quality. My biggest concern is that without GPS, the routes were impossible. Even the few German speakers had trouble with the routes. I would not recommend this trip to anyone who does not know how to use it. I believe you have to have a specific plan for your phone ( and/or a European SIM card. The ship claims to have wi-fi but it is erratic. I could not text or email most of the trip. The tv’s in each room had no English channels so we were not able to track the news. We were the only Americans on the ship so we good friends of other nationalities and that was great.

It’s very hard to pick the “most” memorable…but probably the day of cycling through the Wachau Wine valley would top the list. The scenery was just magnificent that day. But truly, every day was beautiful, whether we were directly along the river, or cycling through farmlands. We upgraded to e-bikes this time, and that was definitely the right choice for us. The terrain is mostly flat, and the daily distances are not far, but having e-bikes made it more relaxing for us. I felt like I could linger in the small towns without having to check my watch to be sure I could make it to the boat on time. About half of the 90 passengers on our tour had e-bikes. Seeing the big cities was another highlight, but of course we only got a small taste of them. The staff of the Vivienne went out of their way to make us comfortable, and I can’t say enough about the food! Five course dinners every night, and everything was delicious.

We will always remember the ride through the beautiful scenery of the Danube river, and the chance to meet so many people from different countries and learn the different cultures. We were also impressed with the crew members skill to get the barge thru multiple locks, the smooth ride on the boat. In addition, the tour director, Leslie's attention to details, Hans, the bike master to fix and adjust bikes for us. It was a wonderful experience for us. We loved the challenge to ride and comfort to be on a boat and relaxing afterwards. The only bad thing about the experience is to allow people smoking in the back of the sundeck and it would be best to make it nonsmoking tour.

A wonderful experience! Lovely like-minded people on board, the staff were professional and very nice people, the boat comfortable and well appointed. Meals were outstanding and the entertainment was fun in the evening(especially 70s night). Bikes are well taken care of and suit the terrain well(glad I had an E bike and it was worth the supplemental fee). The time in the cities didn't seem long enough to visit many of the famous sites, but we knew this was the trade off in this type of adventure, and the time on board while travelling the Danube was easily spent talking with new friends or having a beer with the 7 friends I travelled with. The Trip Site staff were great in their support during the entire planning process, especially Claudia. Highly recommended

The boat, staff and experience were exceptional, plus the food and 5 or 6 course meals were incredible. This was a memorable experience for my group of eight. We loved every moment of this amazing bicycle trip along the Danube River through small villages, into large cities and along the peaceful beautiful Danube River. Our rooms were very nice with a good sized bathroom. We had plenty of room for storing our clothes and gear, even hiding our suitcases in the provided storage cabinet under our beds. The crew has thought of everything, they even have a small store on board to buy all sorts of gear, clothing and other items. They even lent helmets to those that wanted them - we had lugged our from home.

Wow , what a well organized trip , our bikes were out every morning just waiting for us . The staff on the boat were fantastic, they are hard working people from different parts of the world . Very friendly and willing to help in anyway . I would recommend this trip and your company to everyone. The boat was very clean ,food was great and if you didn’t like a certain food they did a great job accommodating you . We will certainly be doing another trip with your company . THIS TRIP IS AMAZNG! This was probably one of the most beautiful trips I have ever been on and I have travelled to over 40 countries! The boat director, "Leslie" and the crew of the Vivienne were bar none in their service. The food was high grade, the boat clean and elegant and the crew was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys food, art and FUN! Even on the hot days, Leslie and crew made it memorable. Loved the 70's party! Leslie proved over 200 outfits for the guests to wear and he was attentive to every guest, even with a broken wrist. THANK YOU for a the trip of a lifetime. It would have nice to have access to a tire repair kit or at the very least, a way to contact bike repair shops that are open. It would have been nice to be able to order water and not have to pay $7 for a bottle. It would have been nice to have shorter rides so that we'd have time to stop and see the sights along the way.

Beautiful days of biking with great options for tours on the ‘rest’ days. Seeing a small part of Bratislava and Budapest was fascinating. Our cruise director Leslie offered great suggestions for unique restaurants, special tours for specific interests (historical, foodie, libraries, best photos of the area, etc. ). Onboard food was excellent with many tasty vegetarian choices.

The trip was outstanding! My room which was a standard was roomy. The ship was elegant. The stops were awesome so much to see. Our cruise director Leslie told us where to stop and placed arrows everywhere, making it easy to follow.
The food was delicious. We had. Choice of food. Loved the ice cream social.
The farewell party and costumes were a lot of fun! It seemed as if the crew was trying to do everything in their power to make a fun memorable trip!(which they did)

We loved the SE Manon, its crew and the other travelers. We met many interesting people as we had a large group from Brazil and another from Norway on with us as well as the usual large group from Europe.
We choose to not bike in the large cities, but rather used walking tours in both Bratislava and Budapest and had a Vienna Greeter give us an interesting walking tour around their ring buildings. We felt comfortable using the local transportation in all three of these cities.

We really enjoyed going to three capital cities that we had not visited before, while being very active and seeing the countryside. The rides were not difficult but we were glad that we rented e-bikes for the occasional steep spots and headwind. We will definitely do a bike and barge trip again. Since we like sightseeing, next time we would look for an itinerary that includes more villages/places of interest and less long distance biking in isolated areas.

This trip exceeded my every expectations from start to finish. The ship was more beautiful than than the brochure. The bikes were top quality although next time I will definitely get an e-bike. The crew & service were top notch! The meals & beverages were outstanding. I especially liked the different wine pairing at each dinner. The entertainment was eclectic, from soft piano during Tea & cake time, then kicked it up at nite for dancing. The pirate & 70’s theme nights were also super fun & unexpected. Everyday was a new experience. I especially liked our last day Krems - Melk and all the great villages, gothic towns, Vineyard’s, castles and breathtaking views.
The only thing I would change personally, is the guided bike tour in the city. Our tour guide was amazing, but I was so focused on riding the bike, due to lots of cyclist and lack of experience in city cycling and the rain, that I feel I missed out on lots. The next time I would due the walking tour or hop on - hop off! Thanks you for the great memories.

The boat was very nice. Swiss Crowne. The crew and cruise director were wonderful, always very helpful. The food was very good. The only recommendation I would have is that the timing for the cycling and meeting the boat could have been better. We rode each day and we would have liked to have had more time while riding through some of the towns., The weather in the morning was a bit of a hindrance - but we realize that could not be helped. In the future I would prefer a trip that has guided cycling tours so we can get more historical background.
All in all, we enjoyed the trip, very relaxing and would recommend this trip for people who want a combination of cycling and touring.

It was an absolutely amazing trip! I had high hopes from this tour and it even exceeded anything I could ever hope for. The boat was incredible, everything was beautifully decorated, our cabins we're really nice and well equipped, the sun deck was very pleasant and gave us a good place to take in all the beautiful landscapes we passed through, and the hot tub was a real treat! The staff was super friendly and professional, and the food was excellent. My need for vegan food was answered above any expectations, they really went out of their way to include me and give me the same dishes as everyone else but with a vegan version. The bicycles were excellent as well, very well maintained and they felt light and easy to accelerate even though they we're heavier than my own bike. Biking through the small Austrian cities was wonderful. The Se Manon cruise boat is well appointed and the boat floated down the Danube so quietly. The Staff on the SE Manon was eager, enthusiastic, talented and fun. We ate and we drank plenty. The Chefs and the Bartenders took good care of us.

This bucket list trip does not disappoint. One week of magic. Unpack once and you are good for the week which was a huge part of the magic. Every day was different. Cycling through villages and towns, or wineries and vineyards, or just along the river. The two 'rest days' were filled with walking around Vienna and Budapest and seeing all the sites we could. Food on board was exceptional and the service of the staff exemplary. We also liked that there was time in towns/cities to also eat local food during the day and a few days the boat was docked at dinner as well so although food was prepaid for all meals - we liked that we could also experience local cuisine. It was a mostly German speaking boat or week but we did have about 30 English speakers and the staff all spoke English so that was helpful to us. I have done multiple boat/bike tours now and this trip was definitely everything I had hoped for. The experience onboard was outstanding, the bicycle routes were excellent and the optional excursions I chose were fun. The bicycles were perfect. This was my first ebike experience.

We were very fortunate that we had beautiful weather the entire trip, except for a brief hail storm as we returned to the barge in Bratislava. The alternate days of biking and city touring was excellent in that it allowed time to recover from saddle sores, and the e-bikes were very comfortable for the long distances we biked. The crew was fabulous and accommodating to every need, and the Cruise Director (Leslie) made sure we were prepared and had everything we needed to make our biking a pleasure and free of stress.

This was a fantastic trip! The boat was great and the crew was the best. Meal were great and nicely served - significantly past my expectation for a trip focused on biking. If you are doing this trip, here are some things I wish I had known....
- You will spend more time on the boat than you might think - pack clothes for that and excursion days as well as what you were for biking
- Speaking of clothes, it is hard to get things to dry if you wash them out by hand - there is a clothesline in the shower but bring your own clips
- You won't have much shore time on biking days or excursion days, so don't bother looking up 100 things to do in a city. Think in terms of a few hours not a whole day

I don’t have one thing that stands out above the rest. Everything from beginning to end was marvellous . As our tour was 130 ish people it was hard to meet people as we were a group of 6. Just a thought to move dinner seating around a bit?? Not everyone may like this though.
