Day-To-Day Itinerary

Mecklenburg’s Lakes & Müritz National Park Map
  1. Arrival in Waren. Embarkation at 4PM.
  2. Waren - Malchow - Plau am See, 19 mi. (30 km)
  3. Lake Plauer See to Müritz, 19 mi. (30 km)
  4. Waren - Röbel - Diemitz, 19 mi. (30 km)
  5. Kleinzerlang, 13 - 32 mi. (20 - 50 km)
  6. Kleinzerlang - Rechlin, 22 mi. (35 km)
  7. Müritz National Park - Waren, 22 mi. (35 km)
  8. Departure from Waren.

*All distances are approximate. The above planned itinerary is subject to change due to changing wind and weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances having to do with mooring requirements, etc.

DAY 1: Arrival in Waren. Embarkation at 4 pm.

DAY 2: Warren - Malchow - Plau am See 19 mi. (30 km)
In the morning, you set out in Waren to see the European Bisons in Damerower Werder, then around Lake Fleesensee to the island town of Malchow. Cruise to Plau am See, where the boat will stop for the night.

DAY 3: Lake Plauer See to Müritz 19 mi. (30 km)
Cycle along the west bank of Plauer See via Plau to the open air museum in the village of Alt Schwerin. The tour continues to Malchow and from there, via boat to Binnenmuritz.

DAY 4: Waren - Röbel - Diemitz 19 mi. (30 km)
The splendid Klink castle is the first highlight of the day. Meet the boat in the fishing village of Sietow, and then cycle on to Röbel with its two magnificent churches.The afternoon itinerary consists of a boat cruise to the Diemitz lock.

DAY 5: Kleinzerlang 13-32 mi. (20-50 km)
Visit the idyllic Rheinsberg Castle with its beautiful park, made famous by the German authors Theodor Fontane and Kurt Tucholsky. Continue cycling via Neuglobsow and along Stechlin Lake,ending in Kleinzerland or tour via boat.

DAY 6: Kleinzerlang - Rechlin 22mi. (35 km)
You pass many small lakes and ponds on your cycle tour to Fleeth Mill and then to Mirow. The romantic lake castle is also named "Love Island." Continue via Lärtz to Rechlin on the south end of Muritz.

DAY 7: Müritz National Park - Waren 22 mi. (35 km)
From the manor house Boek, you cycle into Müritz National Park with its large pine and beech forests, countless small lakes and moors. In the afternoon you return to Waren and enjoy a lovely farewell buffet.

DAY 8: Individual journey home
After breakfast, disembarkation and individual journey home.
